Optus have three Voice over IP ( VoIP) products each aimed at assisting businesses to enhance the quality and efficiency of their communications. The three products are Optus Voice Box, Optus Enterprise IP Telephony and Optus IP Centrex. It is interesting that Optus claim on their website that almost one half of their IP customers already have a Voice over IP solution (VoIP), and a further 17% are evaluating or trialing Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. They go on to claim that a typical organisation can expect to achieve savings of between 30% and 50%, depending on its network topology and level of investment in new technology.
