Optus has Outbound Voice Phone Call Solutions to suit businesses of all sizes. Optus deliver Local, National, International and Fixed to Mobile calls over Optus’ own voice network where possible. Direct connection to Optus’ voice network is available across the CBD, metro and key regional locations. Optus Outbound Voice Phone Call plans deliver more competitive line rental and call rates when provisioned directly over the Optus network.

There are four services available with Optus Outbound Voice Solutions:

Optus BusinessNet Premier MultiLine

Optus BusinessNet Premier MultiLine is Optus’ name for ISDN, a digital trunk telephone service best suited to connection to larger offices with digital PABX phone systems. Additional features available with Optus BusinessNet Premier MultiLine include direct in dial, extension level billing, emergency diversion for disaster recovery, temporary redirection and calling number display. Optus MultiLine is a digital trunk telephone service providing maximum functionality for larger offices with digital PABX phone systems. It provides primary rate ISDN voice services, with each connection supporting between ten and thirty trunk lines, and is available in formats complying with Austel standard TS014 or ETSI TS038 common channel signaling protocol. Optus MultiLine is available in most CBD, metropolitan and major regional locations.

Optus BusinessNet Premier DirectLine

Optus BusinessNet Premier DirectLine is an analogue telephone service designed for direct connection to telephone equipment, (handsets, fax machines, modems) or through a compatible PABX or key phone system. Optus BusinessNet Premier DirectLine provides dial tone to the customer’s equipment, and supports individual line features including; hunt group working, call forwarding, conference calling, speed dialing and calling number display.

Optus Voice over DSL (VoDSL)

Optus BusinessNet Premier DirectLine can be bundled with Optus NetAccess Internet to provide a complete telecommunications solution for smaller offices. This is known as Optus Voice over DSL (VoDSL), with the services delivered over Optus’ Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) network. Optus NetAccess is a total internet package providing organisations with a reliable and express link to the Internet. 4, 6 or more DirectLine analogue telephone services can be provided which connect directly to telephone equipment, (handsets, fax machines, modems) or through a compatible PABX or key phone system. NetAccess provides speeds of 64kbps or 128kbps burstable to up to 1408kbps.
VoDSL offers cost savings compared to taking Optus BusinessNet Premier DirectLine and Optus NetAccess individually. The Optus VoDSL service is available in most CBD, metropolitan and major regional centres in Australia.

Optus Business Long Distance (Switched Voice)

Optus Business Long Distance telephony provides low cost local, national, fixed to mobile and international calls for locations outside of Optus’ direct connect coverage. Optus Business Long Distance can be used for voice telephony, fax transmission and voice band switched data, with calls carried over Optus’ advanced digital network. By preselecting Optus as your permanent long distance carrier, or by programming an override code into your PABX or Key Phone system, Optus Business Long Distance will provide competitive call rates, flexible pricing plans and volume discounts.
