It has ownership interests in around 40 undersea fibre optic cable systems, 23 international gateway switches, a satellite earth station and a variety of operating relationships that deliver traffic worldwide.
The parent company, Primus Telecommunications Group Incorporated, is a Nasdaq-listed company (PRTL) with world headquarters in Washington DC, USA.

History

Primus Telecom was the first carrier to be granted a license to compete against Telstra, when full competition was introduced in Australia in 1997.
